Studied translation and interpretation in her home- town Brussels, Belgium. Gained experience at the EU offices in Brussels and the Belgian television (news department).

1978 university degree for translation and interpretation obtained and work for a US-based company group in Brussels.  1979 move to Hamburg.
In the early 1980’s was a founding member of various companies with international ties.
Her job: company set-up, internal and external communication, client and supplier support, financial controlling.

In 2006 set-up of her own translation office in Hamburg.

Marie-Claire Beckx speaks four languages fluently: French (her mother tongue), Dutch, English and German. Her specialization is cross-over translations.
